Dr. Jigyasa Sandilya is an Assistant Professor on the project "Economic and Health Impact Assessment of Heat Adaptation Action: Case Studies from India" at the Institute of Economic Growth. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, where her doctoral research examined the perception of climate change and the adoption of coping and adaptation strategies by smallholder farmers in Assam, India. Her research interests lie in the interface of climate and environmental economics, agricultural economics, and development economics. She has primary field survey experience in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, India. She possesses competence in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed, reputable international journals. Jigyasa speaks English, Assamese, and Hindi.
