Deepak Varshney is an Assistant Professor at the Development Planning Centre, Institute of Economic Growth, New Delhi. His research mainly focuses on agriculture technology, public policy, impact assessment, agriculture and labour markets, and appeared in the national and international journals of repute. His recent work on the impact of India’s social assistance package amid COVID-19 on the agriculture sector appeared in the reputed agriculture economics journals Applied Economics and Perspective Policy and Agriculture Systems.
